Oh heck... I'm going to keep them anyway! Just found out today that I will have to have a pretty decent shoulder surgery on the right shoulder. Probably in November sometime as long as we quit getting so many wounded dudes in at Landstuhl. Thought it would be just a 'scope job at first. Now the DR. says that more is needed. I wonder if after recovery I'll still be okay with my .45-70's and my .30-06's? On the way home from the DR., I was grinning and my wife was rather inquisitive so I just told her... "I get more guns!!" Took a while to convince her that I would definitely need some new guns in lighter rifle and pistol chamberings...
She wasn't real happy about it but I tried to convince her that it would be good for her and the grandkids someday too. Alright... I think I see some new lever actions and a heavy barreled .257 Weatherby and some new Contender barrels in my future!!! Heck maybe even a stable of revolvers... keep the pressure off the shoulders a bit...
Gotta look at it in a positive light!!!
