Tana killed this button buck today with a handgun. She was using my Encore with a Bullberry 260 Rem. barrel. I haven't measured the distance yet, but it was over 200 yards. The load was the same I used in Wyoming on Antelope, a 129 Hornady SST going 2525 fps.

Thanks. Tana is 14 and has been hunting since she was 11. She loves to hunt. I'm very proud of her.

That's just awesome.  Got some tasty meat for the freezer and the pride of bringing it home herself.

Congrats Tana first deer 200 yards with a handgun very impressive   Hope it is the first of many. I remember my first deer I was shaking so bad at 50 yards with a rifle I was kinda suprised when it fell. You must have nerves of steel girl. Good job

Very impressive!  200 yds is a long way for most of us with a rifle.  Thats great!  Thanks for posting the pic and story.

First off tell your daughter nice job, any deer with a handgun is a trophy and especially at 200 YARDS!

What do you think of the performance of the 129 SSTs?  I'm thinking of giving them whirl in my new 6.5 JDJ carbine.
