Reloads wont fit the gun
« on: October 28, 2003, 05:25:54 PM »
Well I got my gun together and took it out on the range and it performed very nicely. The problem is , I got home and proceeded to reload some of the brass and found that the gun would not chamber them. What to do?
I made sure they went all the way into the die and the handle was fully down on the press. Seems that the lower 1/3 of the case hangs up in the chamber as you try to chamber the round.

Sounds like your sizer die wasn't set properly. Try this: Pull the press handle all the way down and leave it there. Loosen the lock ring on your sizing die and back it off many turns. Screw the sizing die into the press until the die touches the shell holder, then back it off a quarter turn. Screw the lock ring down until it's solid then tighten the lock screw. Now size your cases making sure you pull the handle all the way down on each stroke.
