Ruger Hunter in 357 mag ???
« on: November 10, 2009, 11:59:43 AM »
I've owned a Hunter model in 44 mag and loved it but financial difficulties forced me to part with it. It was a sweet shooting pistol. I know that they now make it in a 22 and a Bisley style 44 mag. Can't remember if it comes in a 45 LC or not but that would be nice too. I'm a huge fan of the 357 mag and wondered how many others would like to see the Hunter model in a 7 1/2 inch 357 mag. I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I contacted Ruger and right now they have no plans for one unless the demand was there. Just thinking out loud but it's a nice thought.

They also have them available in .41 mag via Davidson's (Lipsey's had the .45's)  I'd buy a .357 Hunter but would rather have a .32 Hunter.  I do know that one would require a larger frame than the typical .32's due to the bbl threads.  I don't see it happening though.  I simply don't see the demand even for a distributor run.
