KP 1hammers & triggers

Looking at a KP-1 can you tell if it has the new trigger & hammer or not?  What do you look for?

The new triggers have a flatter thumb (hammer) horn seemed to be a little wider also. The cock travel is shorter. The trigger is not as curved and a little wider. But without seeing both it will be hard for you to tell. This is the new one I know its not very good pic but see how flat the trigger is and the thumb horn is more like at 30 degrees where the old one is about 45 degrees.

What coop said + the old hammer has the little safety lever that travels with it. The new hammer is a rebounding type hammer also with no safety lever on it.

The older one still has the better trigger (comparing these two only).

I have the old trigger. What is the issue with them. I read some where but long since forgot.

My gun would not fire and after I pulled trigger it would not open with a shell in it, it would open with no shell. But there were many problems most were related to safety new one does not have one but the new trigger is about 1lb heavier in trigger pull.

If you have experienced no issues... I wouldn't bother.
