tc encore won't fire

I have a tc encore in a 243 it will not fire every time. It won't happen alot but it does happen. I do have a hammer ext. on it and was told this could be the problem. Could it be the problem? Any info would be great

Hopefully your hammer extension is a lightweight aluminum version.  If your hammer ext is giving you the troubles try a heavy duty hammer spring and check the headspace.  I would take the ext off and see if it still happens and then go from there.

I had problems having removed the rear stock I replaced it but didn't put a washer on the allenhead screw. Its been awhile but I beleive I had problems being able to cock the hammer. With out the washer the screw extended a little further into the action.
