Bear and recurves are made for each other! I'm guessing a 2020 would be a good shaft for that bow, assuming that you draw 28". Plenty heavy for good penetration! Last bear I killed was with a Magnus 2 with the bleeder on a 2219, 29" long and it cut a heck of a hole. 340# boar (field dressed)and he went about 25 yards. I haven't had a chance to kill a bear with a Wensel Woodsman, but I've taken a couple of whitetails and caribou with them and they did an awesome job.
