Knight MK-85

Tony Knight designed this rifle in 1985. He was so proud of the advanced design that he named it after his daughter, Michelle.  Hence, the MK-85.

I have an original MK-85 that I have been shooting for 8 years. The only change that I made was to add the Knight 209 conversion kit. The rifle shoots  great. Currently shooting 300gr XTP sabot bullets with 100gr Hodgdon 777 powder. No problem keeping every round under 3" @ 100 yards. The 300gr Barnes X bullet will shoot a bit better but is hard to load. If I spent the time to try some of the newer slugs that have come out, I'm sure that I could develop an even better group but what would be the purpose?
