Finally got to the range to shoot my .45 Huntsman with a breech plug modification and the Blackhorn powder. As I suspected I could not get the 200gr sabot's to stabilize...didn't think they would but had to try as I had them on hand. Switched to my full bore 385gr NoExcuses and 80gr of BH and after about 4 shots and 1 site adjustment had it shooting 2" groups 2" high @50 this is with open sites and 28" 1-56 twist BBL Remington Kleenbore primers did not have the chrono but I have to believe this thing was punchin near 1600 fps also it has quite a wallop .There was absolutly no bang/bang as ignition was instant. Very pleased with the outcome looks like i got another shooter load. also shot the .58 28" with 1-66 twist with my goto load for that 405gr Buffalo Ball-et these are real pumpkin chunks and this load has never changed in the last 4 yrs open sites 80gr FFG Shockeys Gold #11 cap 2" high @50 2nd shot made first hole bigger so I got 2 guns to use on WI ML as no scopes are allowed for the late season. Third gun was My SS .50Huntsman I had taken the 4X scope off and wanted to try a new Konas on it with variable power must of been in a hurry when I changed them as I had the front ring in the wrong slot also used Simmons rings and didn't have the right allen with me to make the change shot 2 times and could not find where it was hitting so I will have to go back with that one. But I used the MU plug and Blackhorn in that for the first time and didn't have any issues with ignition on the 2 times I shot it. Why do the not recommend using the ML 209 primers with the Blackhorn ? Ididn't seem to have any issues with the cleanbore 209's? Kurt
