Saftey for your kids hunting?

Do you require anything special (saftey) items for your kids to carry while hunting?

My baby boy(17)LOL. and Daughter 18 still follow the below rules ;)

When they dont set with me, I have them carry a cheap little whistle(loud) a flashlight, a walki talki, and extra hand warmers. Now we do hunt in the same areas. With in 1/2 mile of each other. I have set our stands where everyone is in view of one of the others. Plus we all know where each other is set up.

If I take new kids. They are required to set with me. I have done this for every child I have taken. Until I know their habits, and I feel comfortable they stay close real close(arms length) So far have never had an issue.

When my son was little, he's 34 now, I kept him by my side until I thought he was mature enough to carry his own gun.  I figured with the maturity to carry his own gun came the knowledge to be treated as anyone else I would go afield with and he deserved to be treated as such.  When I go with anyone else, which is seldom anymore, there is a plan going in as to who is going where and what is to be expected.  Vary from that plan without good reason and it may be our last trip together.
