was sitting in the deer stand yesterday morning, just thinking about getting down. I heard a rustle behind me and turned to see two deer running my way through the woods. I saw it was a doe being chased by a buck, so i wheeled around and grabbed my bow. when I turned back again, the doe had run right under my stand. she then spooked and ran off about 30 feet or so. the buck froze in his tracks when she bolted and I got a good look at him. a young 8pt not a whole lot bigger than the doe, so i decided to let him pass. he walks over to the doe and starts to nuzzle her and lick her all over. she then squats and he mounts her. this all happened less than 30 feet in front of me. had my camera in my pocket too, but never thought of pulling it out.
