Just another Sunday!
« on: November 15, 2009, 08:17:55 AM »
Well folks with the world crumbling around us we have decided to spend another Sunday out at GB's fishing, cooking, eating and spending time with our family.  Out of chaos comes closeness.  Hold tight to your families and keep your powder dry folks.  Have a blessed day...I know we will!

Out of chaos comes closeness.

I think that's a nice way to spend a Sunday - with the family. But, did I miss something about the chaos? If you care to elaborate, I'd sure be listening. Hope it's nothing too bad.

OK, I understand now and that's good that the chaos was not directly related to you or your family. We get enough of the chaos indirectly pointed at all of us. Have a great day fishing and hanging out with the family. Nothing more important in life than God and the family.

Sundays for me is going to a little protestant Church morning and evening.  The preaching of  the  blessed hope in Jesus Christ is encouraging in these last days.    I'll never forget a testimony time and again from a little old woman as she stood and spoke ~ "this old world ain't my home, it's just a stopping place on my way to heaven."   I've found that to be more truth in these passing years.

It is as you say Heather, there's no hope in this crumbling world.   St. Paul said something to this line :   Corinthians 15:19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
~ I think that is why many fail in their attempt to follow Christ.
I just read an article that the protestant religion is at its lowest in the history of the United States.  That most Americans, though they believe in God, don't have any preference of faith.   But as Luke and John  said " Luke 21:28  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
"Revelation 22:20  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus."
Enjoy your rights to keep and bear arms.

Sounds like you have the best that life has to offer. I hope that you and your family always will have the best. You don't usually have much chaos round the fishin hole, hope you never do. If it makes you sad, don't go there, the most important lesson my pop ever taught me. eddiegjr

HEATHER. Enjoy ALL of your family while you can. Our Sunday was driving to ILL to visit Mom. Moms cancer is no worse, but no better. B 12 shots have greatly helped her arthritis. Just got home this evening. That drive wears me out anymore. POWDERMAN.  :( :(

Well guys Matt's stomach didn't agree with my plans yesterday, but we did make it today!  The boys didn't have the patience to catch anything today, but Mrs. Graybeard and I caught a couple of brim and I got one catfish.  Matt caught one cat, and Graybeard caught  a BUNCH of bass!  It was a great day and a delicious meal! :-)

And I didn't even charge them for the fishing lesson I gave them today.  ;D

BTW she forgot to mention I also caught a few bream but no catfish today. For some reason they really just weren't biting but at least we got a couple picked up by Heather and Matt.

It was a tough day of fishing at the pond for some reason. Yesterday afternoon when they were supposed to have showed up there were schools of bass and bream all over the place and the catfish were cruising the edge where it drops to deep water continuously.

Hey Slim just imagine that two year old around a pond with a 5 and 6 year old.  It sure does make fishing interesting!

Oh boy, that would be fun. ;) I guarantee you wouldn't be doing much fishing, but you'd be getting lots of exercise. The wife would be like a hen on a hot rock with that baby loose and looking for some fun.
