Okay Moderators magic wand had a battery fail while splitting the topic.  Sorry guys...

Maybe your sled would be damaged if you shot something else besides golfballz.  Half of the fun in shooting GB's is watching the balls in flight. If you used something else, you'd prolly have to paint it to see it. Last time I looked at a Gunsmoke mortar, it looked like it was pretty substantial as far as being sturdy. It is probably a liability issue to not shoot anything else but GB's. It's like on fleaBay when they say that the vent isn't drilled or that it's only to be used as a noisemaker and not to shoot a projo.    Just my 3 cents worth.

I would take a steel ball and smack it as hard as i could with a golf club. If the golf club doesn't break, I would call it safe for a cannon.
It's like proof loading the club and the gun must be stronger.
My logic is uncanny.

This would concern me a great deal and I would have to ask them why there mortar isn't suitable got anything other than golf balls.  I thought from previous discussion on the board that they made pretty nice mortar.

Can you post pictures and dimensions when it arrives?
