Got an Arisaka 38
« on: December 03, 2009, 05:04:57 PM »
I have been looking for a while for an Arisaka 38. I got one online for a fair price. It, however, has a broken fireing pin. I usually like to shoot my military guns, but it looks like a replica pin will cost me $70 +. Is it worth it, or should this be a wall hanger until I find a used pin?

Thanks for any opinions,
mike

Mike:  try some of the mil-surp parts shops like SAMCO, SARCO, Gun Parts Corp (Numerich Arms) and failing luck there go up on e-bay or something and look for someone selling parts for the Arisakas.  I would first look to see if anyone in the Shotgun News has them for sale - they often have parts hanging around.  HTH.
