Is there any diff. in the rifles that were made in Gardner vs. the ones made in Ilion? Is one better than the other? The reason I ask is I have two 223's one has prefix NH and the other is a new heavy barrel syn. camo. Gonna sell one or the other and get a diff. cal. thanks Dave

Keep the one that shoots the best.

My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

Depends on whether you want to get factory fitted accessory barrels or not, and what chambering, H&R won't fit any of the * marked barrels on the accessory barrel list to the old NH frame, I'd keep the new frame myself.
