CNN reporting on debt

Big question: Do you foresee the US monetizing this debt, thus fueling inflation?

How much would you contribute to pay down the nation's debt?
Less than $100
More than $100

They have already been monetising it.  When the Fed. buys Treasuries, thats just monetising the debt.  If all this huge sum were dumped into circulation, as it surely will be some day, it will cause inflation the likes of which we've never dreamed.  As it is, much of the money is being held until 2010.  2010 is an election year.  How many votes can they buy?

I've got 4 words for you but then i said them last year, BUY GOLD, BUY SILVER.  The government NEEDS a low dollar to afford the payments on its debt it also makes our good more affordable overseas and improves our trade balance, All this is going to result in inflation like in the 80's or worse. You can't collect tax from the unemployed 10 to 25 % depending on who you choose to believe. The only source of dollars will be the presses (they are luckier than me and you) and that will drive inflation. mechanic just posted their link take you calculator and do some dividing to find out how much each job cost to create you will be very amazed. Last nights news reported that much of those jobs were created and the money spent in places that do not exist.
the nation that forgets it defenders will itself be forgotten
