Expanded 40-cal. personal-defense bullets
« on: November 21, 2009, 04:24:05 PM »
Shot these into 1-gallon waterjugs full of water, 4 jugs back-to-front, from 10 feet.  All are from my Glock 23 with 4-inch barrel.

IMO all the bullets on the top row performed very well, and I'd be happy with using any in my PD loads.  I purchased a LOT of XTPs previously so I won't be changing any time soon.  I was surprised the Golden Sabers performed as poorly as they did--both broke apart.

The Winchester PDX1 and, to a lesser extent, the Speer Gold Dot, have thicker nose material that's tough to see in the overall pic but easier to see in this one.

If anyone wants bigger pics, e-mail me at jeffreybehr(at)cox(dot)net and I'll send 1200-pixel versions.
