I'm one, but a considerable distance from you -  N. California.  Next season I'll be the First Sergeant, Norfolk Light Artillery Blues. Which will have the downside of taking me off a gun (although it might allow me to step in on other guns if any crew or gun sergeants go down).

Yeah, I'm one too, but I'm in Southeast Georgia. Never been any farther than Tennessee for reenacting.

I was one for ten years and had to get out because of my job, no time to play. I am thinking about getting back in it since things have calm down. I was in the 16th Alabama Infantry first, then went to Cleburnes and finally to the WIGs(Western Independent Grays). I am from NW Alabama.

I reenact for memorial services and grave marker dedications only, have never participated in battle reenactments. I portray a Confederate Soldier as I have more than 50 documented ancestors that fought for the South. Several years ago I had the honor of marching in the funeral procession of the last surviving Confederate widow, Mrs Alberta Martin.

I'll bet that was cool, deersniper. Several members of my SCV camp were there also. That was before my cousin finally convinced me to join.  ;D
I too have the Blessing of having multiple ancestors who served the Confederacy. We quit counting at 49... ;)
I also have the blessing of having my family history documented back to the year 1140, in Peebles, Scotland. ;D
I do reenact a bit, and participate at grave dedications, too. This past Saturday, we had a Super DynaWhoppin dedication of 39 of our fallen heroes, all at the same time. (Needless to say, it was an all day event...) They were in a newly discovered cemetery behind a church that is no longer in use. Interestingly, the church was used by blacks during its entire tenure... and they knew of the Confederate soldiers buried back there, as two of the older gentlemen that used to attend the church were the ones who brought the cemetery to the attention of the SCV.
