Looking for a short range plinking load for my old Mauser. 

110gr plated bullet with a target velocity of around 1500fps.

Paul this might not help you but here is a article with lots of different calibers but there is a segment on the 7.65. Paco uses cast bullets in this article and in the 150 and heavier range.
