I have a family history of colon cancer and still put off the test. I ended up with colon cancer at age 46. After 3 surgeries and chemo in one year I got my plumbing reconnected and have been cancer free for 4 years. Don't put the  colonoscopy off, it's no big deal.

The procedure was no trouble at all. The only issue was a bit of bloating as a result of the air remaining in my large intestine. They pump air into it to expose the folds of the intestine, then remove most of the air, but some remains and you need to naturally release it over time.

It was a good education. I never paid much attention to this before, but may people have died because of colon and rectal cancer. It's an easy test that can save your life.
