if allan keyes runs again, I think I'll just go with him... I almost did last year but when mccain picked palin I thought it would be a good deal, and more likely for those two to actually beat barack  :'(

I'd like to think that an uber-religious HARD right that won't compromise will get in office... but allan keyes won't trade favors.  ron paul.. I admit I didnt look him up much (I did like huckabee)...

other than ron paul, who did you keep tabs on dee

Of the three, Huckabee would have been my last choice. Keys is both forceful, eloquent, and AN ABSOLUTLEY PURE CONSTITUTIONALIST. He is well read, well spoken, and knows exactly what the score is both nationally, and internationally. I would certainly vote for him, but most Americans have not the courage to get behind such a man. They walk in the voting booth scared the other man will win if they support fully the candidate whom is pro Constitution and Bill of Rights. In essence, Keys is so well read on both documents he scares folks whom are not. PLUS! He is "black"! No good Republican would ever put a black man over themselves. But a liberal would. ;D
Ron Paul? This man is much misunderstood, because even the Republican take things he says out of context. They like the wars, and he is against unnecessary wars, he says take the money out of drugs and legalize them. This sends the PSEUDO CONSERVATIVE into orbit. What he is actually saying is, if you want to sit on your couch and stick cocaine up your nose until you cork pops, it's your couch, and your cork. He also says, legalize abortion BUT PAY FOR YOUR OWN. He personally is against it, but once again he is saying LESS GOVERNMENT to the people. Most don't get it.
Both he and Keys are for shutting down the borders, and pulling in our tentacles, but Americans have been brain washed that we simply MUST invade 3rd world countries that seldom have navies or even a few planes. Neither will compromise on the founding documents, and folks have learned to compromise away their freedoms. This is a combination that will never get them elected. The American voter has lost their will to take back their country. They will continue to settle for less and less.JMO

you're making me want to hug them both  ;D

anyways...   :D I can understand the abortion topic to a degree, it's wrong and possibly evil, but do I want a bunch of nasties reproducing and polluting the american gene pool-NO.  the problem is eugenics is a tool of oppression and an efficient one too.  and not only is keyes about perfect (as a politician and upright citizen) but he is black (with a lesbian daughter) and that allows him to get by the liberals at the door to the whitehouse.... no race card for his opponent to pull, no minority  :'( tears either, no bs....... then the liberals would either have to tell the truth (they just want socialism and for us to be livestock) or just shut up and let him walk right in

it's like our previous intense debate about change from within- it has to come from within ON A NATIONAL SCALE as you said, but for the liberal party to be defamed and crippled it's gotta be an outsider getting inside BY USING MINORITY STATUS AS AN AEGIS to do any and all harm to that institution as well.  does my logic make sense now... ?

let the nasties kill the babies unborn instead of slowly via child abuse and neglect, maybe die of hiv or overdoes before breeding... even better?
it's gonna happen, legal or not.  to clarify on the abortion, I am against it on a moral level but not on principle.  as I've said before I'm not religious and bastard children are produced from a union not sanctified by god so they might not have souls judging by the rules?????  I think babies are cute, cuddly and full of potential- but not when they're born premature and physically abnormal due to neglect and drugs to parents that will stunt the child psychologically to be likely as carnal and low-life.

if ron paul can get that interpretation of conservativism going then we might have a thinning of our enemies ranks- as long as we have a right to be free from unreasonable search and seizure, and a trial by jury, the decadent will have the sex/drugs/baby killing no matter what.  as sick as it sounds I just don't really know what to do during an election when the candidates are equivalent on all but abortion... it's the eugenic possibilites of government that really scare me.  what do you think dee?

Defaming I don't believe is the answer. Exposing I believe is the answer, and failure also. It was, or at least should have been, obvious to all that both the Republican and Democratic candidates this last presidential election were sub standard. But take note, that the Democrats voted for the Democrat, and the Republicans voted for the Republican, and damned be their OBVIOUS RECORDS.
Until the Pseudo Conservative is ready to stop fooling themselves, and vote for what the CLAIM to support i.e. the Constitution and Bill of Rights, things are only going to continue to get worse.
As I said, Defaming I don't believe will work. Eventual acceptance of a failed voting practice, as actually being a failure is all that will change the average voter. At the present he still votes out of fear of the opponent, for the lessor, strangely hoping for something positive, and GRADUALLY TRADING AWAY HIS FREEDOMS (and mine) FOR TEMPORARY SECURITY.

During the primaries Huckabee was soft balling a lot of issued, and is, in my opinion, a suspect to Constitutional compromising. He is quite aggressive on the talk show, but I don't remember seeing that much Constitutional grandstanding during his campaign. After all, he is a Republican FIRST, and he dearly loves to interview REPUBLICANS.  JMO

maybe willing to compromise, or maybe just trying to slide by the liberals without drawing too much attention to himself...  not honorable but more likely to succeed than our AK-lion too.  like you have said though, no compromise.

I can draw a parallel between a christian musician and quite republican though- his ideology is rock-solid but he's trying to break people in slowly rather than scare them off- noble intentions I think

I'd rather see a liar with a good agenda in office, than a good man off the throne and powerless- but we don't get stuff done because they're ALL liars.... I just talked myself into a circle    just like all the other voters!   man this sucks, we're screwed

torpedoman, are you saying the folks that don't own land shouldn't be allowed to vote? That should mean that they wouldn't have to pay taxes either wouldn't it?

The idea was to limit voting to those with skin in the game.About those taxes, none of us should be paying them, the government was meant to be self supporting on their duties and tariffs from international trade. When control was ceded to congress from the voters and states, was when everything started down the slippery slope we are now on. My ancestors have fought in every conflict this nation has had from the revolution on. The family is sitting this one out I'm retired and the sons are out of the service and with a bit of luck it will be over before the grand kids get in it.
the nation that forgets it defenders will itself be forgotten

a nation that would be isolationist due to being too weak and lethargic to extend across the oceans.. yet free trade because it would need it to reap any money to support it's operational costs... and a nation that wouldn't bleed currency/devalue the dollar/lose to inflation because the tariffs would be sky high to support the government

that DOES sound good... bet that won't ever happen again though

and because the race game was played with minority pawns to divide the white culture, now (non elite) whites are also willing to play the socialist game, so the race/eugenics is out of the question to pacify the threat of the all powerful state... the citizen has little more than guns now to stop the cops/spooks/swat or whatever to just bust the door in

The Pseudo Conservative sees the Republican Party as their savior. Neither the Pseudo Conservative and certainly not the Republican are really Conservative at all. Oh, maybe on some minor issues, but any form of compromising of the Founding Documents (Constitution & Bill of Rights), is in no way a Conservative move, but rather a liberal move.
If the Republican Party was truly interested in protecting the Constitution and Bill of Rights, they would have long ago, when in power, put up for voting TERM LIMITS. Both the Democrats and Republicans in no way will give up their TRUE GOAL which is MORE POWER.
My ancestors also have been involved in EVERY CONFLICT since the founding of this nation, and my ancestors most likely met the boat most others ancestors came on, as they are Native American, i.e. Cherokee. They most likely also, should have made every effort to have sank the boat rather than welcome it. It was a paradise in the beginning, now transformed by the Anglo conqueror into a mess. ;)

i think the basic principle of marxism, conspiracy theories aside, was to stop the anglo/white march across the earth

the robber barons were supposed to be run down and executed by their own slaves, and the slaves would be free... but that anarchy couldn't last because no paradise is possible without constraints upon the evil predispositon of men... I'd probably stab anyone to death that I've ever met for a piece of pizza if I was starving to death

some people don't even worry about the base needs or desperation, some will take and take even if it's just comfort sought, and they'll take by any force necessary.  let's not forget outright malice too.  communism was a nwo that would offer all the paradise and fairness anyone could desire but the insatiable ambition of men will never let people really cooperate for the common good, and that means the classes will always exist, marxism doesn't work in a divided society because of jealousy.  also common good is relative so it's pretty much bs anyways.

Simple answer to this question, greed. To many of the have nots, think they deserve what the ''have's''  have got, so it's owed to them. Lets make it easy to get credit, so lets put materialistic ''stuff'' on credit. Let's make life simple, if you don't get along so well with your wife/husband, divorce,to hell with what's good for the kids. I don't want to work for a good marriage, I want what's good for me.(greed) Politician's want more power, money, control.(greed) Business's want more profit.(Let's make our goods overseas where the overhead is much lower, to hell with the American worker) (greed) So many things, comes back to greed. Instant happiness, nobody wants to work for anything. Drugs, booze, sex, money!!! Mostly greed.
