After two months of whittling,rasping, scraping and sanding , I've almost got another rifle. .45 cal gaintwist in a 15/16X40 inch oct. Stock is a piece of curly maple a friend put in his attic in 1960, and forgot. Hard as iron. The lock and barrel came from on of my very early attempts to build a flintlock, back in the early 1970s, that came out looking more like a porch column than a rifle. This one is intended for my Grandson, although He doesn't know it yet. He will need to grow into it. Got to make a pilgramage to Orlando now, to get some real BP. Pics of project, and more at;
