did you find the bullets, or were they shoot thru?  I've got a bunch of those, but haven't tried them yet in the Hawken.  Tried some in the early 80's, but the were really long, like rifle bullets, and flew like frisbee's (and chainsaws).  Way back then, conicals were about your only other option!

I had a .45 barrel for my encore and that is one of the bullets that worked great in it. I shot one deer with them and it was a pass through. I ended up using 200gr. sst's because they had less drop at 200 yards. But, they didn't kill deer any deader!!!! Dead is dead!!! I thought about trying sabots in my hawken but never have. Always used conicals or round balls. I guess I'll have to give them a try. (I have alot)!!!

I'm glad to hear bout the load, dud...posted a question about it a while back and got no answer.  Picked up nine T/C boxes for $25 last spring, now I'll give them a try.  I'd say 90gr of 3f is spittin'  'em out right quick, higher pressure than = 2f.  I always shot 3f in my 45, made it go crack instead of boom  ;D
