Filled out your survey. As a former Peoples Republic of Illinois resident, I felt it was the least I could do.

The Berlin wall fell and many thought that could never happen.  Keep chipping away at them, para phrasing Adams, the facts about concealed carry are pesky things, and won't easily go away.

I voted and sent it off also. We've been coming closer as of late. Hopefully eventually we can get it passed.

Apparently the farm bureau must be feeling some heat from its members on this subject or they wouldn't be fielding this questioneer. With all politics being controlled by the Chicago area who does not recognize the rural area of this state I seriously doubt that the results of this poll will make any difference.

Farm bureau is a pretty active force in the state. It is much better that they lobby for rather than against the carry proponents. Another thing to remember is that they also represent members who may not have an opinion that they will call a politition with. There publications reach a bunch of folks who don't think much about protecting themselves, as they rarely leave the county they live in and certainly won't be going to the suburbs let alone the urban cesspools.

I spent over ten years working in the farm supply business at a fertilizer plant / elevator. It always supprised me as to the number of folks who walked the Farm bureau line.

I sent my survey in as well. For what it is worth I think there should be a concerted effort by ILRA and NRA to send Daley and the Chicago Machine a message by boycotting any effort to bring the Olympics to Chicago. If no one can own or possess a pistol in Chicago why (and how) can the Olympic committee support an effort wherein part of the history of the sport of pistol shooting is an Olympic event? It is time more from Illinois or the land of the imprisoned Governors wake up and regain our second amendment rights.

You are absolutely right.

It seems as if they can't or won't distinguish there is a difference between criminals with guns and law abiding citizens and concealed carry.

I live here and feel the same way. Actually I'm in a suburb west of Chicago so hopefully I'll be safe when the earthquake hits.

I plan on driving over to Chatsworth on 12/12/09 for the ISRA rally. Chatsworth is only very few people but, has two gun shops and ISRA headquarters. I don't suppose there will be any secession speeches but, maybe some about the CC law for Illinois?

I'll have to see what the work schedule is like. Maybe I can make that one too and bring a couple of people.

Good crowd, plenty of free coffee and donuts? Very informative. Got to see what's behind the scenes at ISRA. Rick Pearson got me enthused about going to next IGOLD rally and even payed for my son's membership(he took the time to go with me and served as another Christmas present). Even bought a like new Remington Nylon 66, while there.

Congrat's Steve  ;D ;D ;D you did not go wrong!...ask me ;D

I went ahead and filled out the survey (definately no harm) but with mixed emotions.

I stopped filling out online petitions (usually email based) years ago cause the petition is not worth the paper it is written on unless signed by the household members to include the address of the residence.

Can those legislators twist the survey's as being invalid using this same tatic?
Sorry for the rain but again, I did fill it out.
