338-06 A-Square bullets selection

I loaded for my Weatherby Mark V Ultra Lightweight in 338-06 A-Square which wears a Leupold VX-III 3.5-10 X 40mm Scope and Leupold standard base and low rings.

From left to right from the picture are:

Loaded: 300 grain round nose, 275 grain semi-pointed

Bullets: 225 grain Nosler Accubond, 225 grain Nosler Partition, 225 grain Hornday Interlock, 225 grain Speer Boat Tail, 210 grain Nosler Partition, 180 grain Nosler Accubond

Loaded: 210 grain Nosler Partition, 200 grain Nosler/Winchester combined technology Ballistic Silver Tip, and 180 grain Nosler Accubond.

I shot a doe White-tailed deer this year with the 200 grain Nosler/Winchester combined technology Ballistic Silver Tip, with IMR-4320, Re-sized Remington 30-06 Springfield once fired brass, and Winchester Large rifle primers.  I was a quick loaded that shot 1 1/2 at 100 yards, but next year I will try the 180 grain Nosler Accubonds.  I like this rifle and cartridge, easy carry and easy on the pocket book for reloading.

Yooper77, I know I sure like my model 70 Winchester in the .338/06......I feed it a steady diet of Nosler bullets also. I usually on a hunt, keep those 210 grain Partitons in the magazine but I been wanting to shoot a deer with those 180 Accubonds and just see how things turn out. This rifle is very light weight under 7-lbs with scope, pencil barrel good for 3 shots before walking around. Now between it and my newer wildcat model 70 in the 6.5/06 I have a tuff time wondering which I favor the most.
