I and M canal fish kill
« on: December 04, 2009, 05:00:20 AM »
On 11-02-09 a massive chemical fish kill was conducted by the EPA, Army Corp of Engineers, Illinois Dept of Natural Resouces, etc. on a six mile long portion of the I and M Canal near my home in the Lockport/Romeoville area. The cost of the operation was estimated at between 1 and 2 million dollars (but who's counting). The results of the operation, as of Friday, were tens of thouands of fish killed. Also noted: the target of the slaughter- the asian carp- resulted in the collection of 1 (one) deceased target species. The victim's belongings have been secured, but as of yet have revealed no clues as to the wereabouts of the victims accomplices.

Another example of your tax dollars hard at work for you.
