The Flintlock deer season is my favorite hunting season in Pa. It presents more of a challenge to get close enough to a deer to get a shot. Especially after they have been hunted for three months. Their senses are more in tuned to any danger. The weather here the last few days would have presented some good hunting conditions. We have had about 7 inches of snow on the ground, cold, and sunshine. The temps are supposed to moderate some with a chance of rain and sleet on Christmas. I just hope some snow will remain for the start of the season.
