Sarah Palin on unemployment and immigration?

I know there are Palin supporters here.  I'm not sure what to think about her.
Can anyone enlighten me on her stand re: the unemployment crisis and immigration?

1.8 MILLION legal immigrants are allowed in each year( http://www.migrationpolicy.org/pubs/FS16_USImmigration_051807.pdf ), with high unemployment why not stop this, at least for a while!
What does Sarah say???

Well you have to enlighten yourself , heres something to ponder . We had over 35 Hispanic workers . All of them had I.D. we run thru. SS and it checked out OK . When we were forced to lay them off due to lack of work they all went home . Home was below the USA mexican border .

To be honest that is one subject we did not discuss in detail while she was here in Alaska.  We do not have a problem with Mexicans here it's too cold for them. 

I do remember something about it coming from her campaign for VP, but McCain's people kept her on such a tight reign she did not elaborate on it.

Honestly can not say how she feels about illegals, but my gut tells me she would say send them back, and do what is neccessary to keep them out.

Unemployment was a big issue with her.  We have such high unemployment in the villages.  She was constantly looking for ways of getting jobs out in the rural areas.  She was also pressing the oil companies and all employers here in Alaska for local hire.  We have a big problem with oil companies hiring people from down south and flying them to the North Slope, instead of hiring local Alaskans.

Given her stances on other issues I suspect that you are right Sourdough. I believe she is far more likely to be TRUE CONSEVATIVE, than a Pseudo one. Her temporary alliance with the dud McCain suppressed her, and I think she is trying to undo her mistake of getting on his plane.
If I remember correctly Todd Palin is a registered independent, and families usually have like political views. Just guessing but, I suspect she is what I think she is. A True Conservative. We shall see.

I heard someone on a talk show this week report: She has said if the Republican Party can not get itself together she will go Independent.  I can believe that. 

She has a history of bucking the GOP and going her own way.  The way her conservative roots tells her she should go.

I don't see that as a hindrance. In fact it could be a real advantage compared to the zombies in the Republican party and the vampires in the Democrat party.  Senators and congressmen should stay within the 2 party system because there are organizational and funding advantages. But the presidential candidate can be an effective independent.

I see the Senators and Representatives staying with in their parties not for any reason other than cronyism protections. I see them as no better than the mafia, and in many ways worse. The mafia is centralized in many ways geographically, while the D.C. mafia can reach the world with it's corruption, and make the American soldier do the dirty work, and us as tax payers finance it.
I think Congress as a whole, is shameless.
