Never got pinched in bigger than a #1 foothold.D--n near got caught in a 220 twenty years past.Still praise my luck!

got both thumbs in a #4 long on a short chain and a drowner rig couple years ago. wasn't much leverage left to mash the springs back down without really crankin' against the pinched thumbs.
nobody around to witness me cryin' and sobbin', luckily.
