Had a cup of coffee. Went back to work . Drill worked just fine. Anyone everhave that happen or have any idea what it was.

Nope, never and I've used them quite a lot. I have smoked a couple though.

I'm interested if anyone knows of this also.

Guys Ive been using the drill for a couple weeks now. Almost every day. Got lots of projects going. Trying to get them wrapped up before hunting season. No problems with it . I dont think it was the clutch. I think what it was  is the battery was kinda loose, One of the buttons thats supposed to snapp out & hold the batteriy in was stuck. I think the battery contact wasnt connected to the drill contact  ??? ??? & It arced. One of the contacts is a little burnt. Im gonna use it till it craps out on me. Then Ill just have to buy a new one. Man I hate having to buy new tools ;D ;D

Their model DC920 had a recall due to fire hazard. If you have this model you may want to check with DeWalt.
