I generally saw a few bears per sitting in Alberta. I think one person saw as many as 13 during an afternoon and it was somewhat unusual to go a whole sitting without seeing a bear. Our 8 hunters also killed an actual measured 20" bear, a bear that was more than 19" and several P&Y 18+" bears. We killed 3-4 color bears. Oh, and you can kill 2 per season.
The only down side is that you have to fly, but I think the reason for the great hunting is because it's hard for the average Joe to get at the bears.
I will be returning in the Spring of 2011.
