Duracoated my Savage 10ML, after last season when I had a bad fall in a rock pile, that scratched the scope, lock, stock, and barrel.

What did you do to prep the stock and metal? Have you used it yet? The DuraCoat products are quite popular and seem to work pretty well. Keep us informed of your satisfaction with them.. Looks great, just watch where you lay it down come fall..

I used Acetone to prep the stock with. Duracoat sells a stripper but it is quite expensive, they even say you can use brake cleaner in a can to prep the metal. I have another good one and that is Xylol (spelling), or some Xylene base product they also recommend unless the metal is parkerized to scuff it up with either 600 grit or a scotch brite pad, the only thing be sure you are in a well ventaled area and wearing a good resperator, or that stuff will take you out.
