I wonder if the patient is always the last to know the bad news. TC is no longer selling 10 inch barrels thru the normal channels, Nosler is no longer making 180 silhouette bullets for the .357. Rampro went out of business, XP 100's are special order only. The silhouette shooting sports are simply not a market that anyone is much interested in supplying cause it is sooooo very small in terms of participation. I believe Silhouette went down the IPSC trail of overspecialization and left its base in the process. Shooting steel is still fun, but the equipment is now so far out in speciallized space that you need a telescope to see a match.
The lesson that has been learned and forgotten over and over is that the man who needs rule changes so his scores will improve will kill the sport in the long run. You are much better off with a large base of lower scoring members than a few high scoring equipment racers. The decline in members, and ultimately in the availability of equipment is inevitable unless you take care of the base and understand why they came to the sport in the first place. 7BR brass is just another example, while 7.62 x 39 brass is everywhere. Both have about the same case capacity yet one is hugely popular and the other is not.
The Max was an answer to a "problem" that should never have existed, "Sticky Rams".
something that you should know - the 180 Noslers have been discontinued. May serve you to explore other brands, that is, unless you have a pile of them laying around !
