Hey Dinny, Congrats on the deer!
I have always liked the feel of the thumbhole stocks but have never owned one because, like you, I shoot left handed whenever the situation calls for it. I bet it was pretty awkward making that shot!

You're absolutely right it was akward.  I'm getting good at it though, this being the 2nd deer I have taken in 3 years by a left-handed shot.  The last one was a 15yd shot with the muzzleloader.  I think the thumbhole is going away just for that reason alone.

if you can do it out of a post you can do it anywhere.  that being said though, it's a lot harder to place a quick ethical shot than a stopper

same for paying attention for hours instead of napping, you've got the tools so use them well (no njp's for deer either  ::)  )

Congrats dinny and cherish every moment with your daughter it won't be long before she'll be holding the antlers of her first buck for a picture. It seems like the time goes to fast.

Your daughter is a cutie.  Enjoy her "littleness" while you can.  They grow up FAST!
