« on: August 04, 2010, 04:27:06 PM »
Guys,

I picked up a neat little Swiss Rifle yesterday thinking it was 7.5 Swiss...but to my surprise it is a Model 1889 Schmidt Rubin.that has been sporterized (nice little rifle with all numbers matching) upon finding out it shoots different ammo I put it on here for sale.. but havent had any takers...I have been studying about how to make the ammo... who here has any loading info on it..what brass and what loads..thanks for the help. Robbie

You can use the 7.5x55 cases but will have to trim them back to the 53.5mm length. I would first slug the bbl to find out the bore size. Then size the cast bullet .002 over that. Wish I could provide more info. Frank

Did a brief search and found sources for reloading the K31 round but not the other.  I would suggest checking some of the Swiss rifle forums available thru these links.
