Eureka! Obama is a compassionate conservative republican!
« on: December 10, 2009, 10:36:11 AM »
I just figured it out! Obama is following in Bush's compassionate conservative footsteps. It's a little hard to tell because of party rhetoric, but when you add up things like his continuation of the middle east wars, the extension of the TARP program, the expansion of the loans given to people who can't afford it, and a multitude of other things....

...It all adds up to him being another George W. Bush! It took me over a year to figure this out, but now it's as plain as can be.

I was thinking Obama is like a Bush on steroids....everything the same, only more of it, and a lot faster.

Does that sum it up?

jimster:

I like the metaphor. How about "like Bush on laxatives"? It seems a trifle more appropriate.

I can't take a speech in isolation. He's got a track record of speaking that which cannot be named on a family forum, so it's not like he's an unknown quantity.

i agree but the speech was one you would expect from a statesman...

he in a vey subtle way told them humbly he was not deserving of the award. he spoke eloquently of WHY WE FIGHT! He honored those that came before as well as those in harms way now. he spoke with simple honesty of the Greatness of this Nation and we and we alone stood on the the front lines of dfense of so many nations. he spoke of the AMERICAN BLOOD spilled so many times that saved so many. I have to say I was impressed.

totaly opposite of all he has ever said in any speech. it was so striking.

i bet the left his base is going crazy i bet the people who awarded him the prize are stunned.

Now I am no fool I have really be trying to figure this guy out. I know he is a socialist . one that believes in his heart that you must take from the rich and redistribute to the poor. I know all that but it was a honest open speech that really did tell the tale.

Now the question is why did he give that speech at that time?

As mentioned on another thread he does have a habit of saying whatever he thinks will fly. As a matter of fact I have gone back and see that he takes one position on this day and another on the next. I feel so if he is challenged he can say ..that is not how i feel or what i said just go look at my speech on so and so date.

The question remains Why and why there to that audience? Baffling to say the least.

how many of you have actually read "the audacity of hope"

it's a good book and a good read- he has a good heart but the problem is his ideas are not capable of realization without RADICAL means.  while he really does want everyone to be healthy and happy he doesn't want to be a bully to get it done... so he just blames the institutions that don't bend over backwards to support dead weight citizens.  I honestly think that he doesn't realize that if he breaks the establishment, he cannot build a better one from the pieces.  THAT IS THE WRONG OF SOCIALISM- he thinks that by tearing apart conventional society, he can remake it better.  he doesn't realize that the powerful people he is drawing support from will not have it.  they'll corrupt anything he attempts to do.  all the welfare bums that voted for him won't ever pull their weight in a "utopian" society either.  he cannot fathom the true fairness of SOCIAL DARWINISM.  The man doesn't get it despite all the good he PROBABLY genuinely wishes for the world.... socialism is absolute power and will be absolutely corrupted by absolutely corrupt people.  I think that he is a deconstructionist but not a power-monger.  The problem for him is that the NWO supporting him don't want him to succeed, they just want him to be the smiling face distracting americans while NWO commences massive back-stabbing.  also obama has no balls.  while he is a "warm" person that might be interesting to meet in person and talk to, he isn't really much of a statesman.  remember that he made his living by basically catering to the poor and needy- people that cried about discrimination and the "horrors" of the real world- which he never lived in- and he feels compelled by guilt to help them.  he's feeling compelled to squander all of america's wealth to FIX the world and he's really going to try to do it- and all the left-wing nuts in congress are gonna keep pushing all his bs through in the most screwed up ways possible.

george bush wasn't that nutty!  he just wanted to silently put some money away for his "buddies" and to do that he needed to feign compassionate conservatism to get public opinion on his side.  also the stimulus checks shut people up too.  obama isn't being slick, he's the most naive idealist to ever hold federal office- and a liar that's hard to read.  bush wasn't self-conflicted like obama, he is the one that was actually slick.

read obama's book and you'll understand that he totally knows how to apply the "third way" but he doesn't seem to even slightly grasp how evil it is becoming.  you have to personally understand teh third way though- PROGRESS that the progressives work for.  it's both democrat and republican.  research it and you'll understand him and his platform.

i agree they found the perfect patsy one so wrapped up in his utopian ideas and not the slightest clue as to the real world. they pumped him up and filled him with himself to the point he really believes he is a saviour.

he is destined for a very rude awakining. i would to be there when he realizes just what kind of evil did put him there.

I honestly don't think he's a bad person, I honestly believe he's going to let the bad people run amok though.  He's just too liberal and soft-hearted to be a part of the free world.  why can't people like him just move to russia?

So he gives one speech and you are converted? I bet he can't even remember today what he read off a teleprompter yesterday! He compares himself to Reagan without realizing that Reagan actually believed what he was saying. Reagan said once that you can tell a lot about a person by the way they eat jellybeans. Here is a picture of 'o' helping his "friend" down the stairs after the beer summit. Actions do speak louder than words, don't they?

who's converted?  I think everyone is confused about how genuinely "evil" or wrong that guy is from a moral standpoint, not about whether he's a bad president or not.  we all know he's the harbinger of bad things, the one that will lead the liberal charge.

what's his main goal though?  we know his vision for america, but what is his PLAN?
