Varmint Stock?

Hi All,

    I really like pistol grip/thumbhole stocks on my rifles and shotguns and i was thinking about putting a choate varmit stock on 30-06 handi. I'm concerned that the gun will have too much recoil for the stock and it will break or won't perform well. I noticed that the it is very thin between the grip and the recoil pad. I'm concerned that the recoil of the cartridge will make it compress or torque and possibly break. Anyone have any experience with these on larger caliber rifles.

The Varmint stock is plenty strong, it's the same stock design they sell for a bunch of different CF rifles, there are a few members here that use them on their 45-70s.

Thanks for the quick response I appreciate it. Does anyone know if the stock comes with a piece to raise the comb. I know its mentioned in the description that one is available, but is that included or must it be purchased separate.
