I was cruising ebay looking at binoculars for in the field.
There was a set of nikon travelites and the bid was up to 25 bucks. I clicked on 26 bucks for the heck of it and I won.
Low magnification, 8 x 25, compact.
Sure hope I like them.
Anybody have a pair of these?

You won't. You just wasted $26 PLUS SHIPPING I'm sure. The shipping and handling might double your cost. Oh well ya hafta learn somehow and I guess the hard way by experience is one way to do it. Asking first is the other.

I have a set of travelites and they are very nice for compact binocs. Originally they sold for around 80 dollars and up and one version (I have these)has a zoom feature 8-24x25. I think you got a real steal if there in good shape.

I know you're not a fan of nikon glass but why do you say I won't?
I just wanted a small and inexpensive pair of binoculars to carry while hunting.

Jim, when you get below a 4mm exit pupil optics lose usefulness quick. I'm not knocking Nikon products as I have a Monarch scope I like. The tiny binocular aren't worth much. I used a small binocular much like yours from several years and when I started wearing glasses I bought a better binocular. I had no idea what I was missing. Yes, the pocket biocular will work, in good light but not too well late or early in the day or on a dim day. You can get a poro style binocular for around $100 that will have you leaving that pocket binocular home. Using a harness made for carrying binoculars is the way to go IMHO.
