Topper value
« on: December 19, 2009, 01:17:31 PM »
My dealer has a Topper chambered in 22 Jet. It is all original and very nice condition. It has a shorter stock on it, about like a youth length stock. ???  He has brass, bullets, dies, and a case for it. He says he'll sell everything to me for $300 bucks. I have a couple questions though. 1. Do they take the same stocks as the new Handi's? 2. Is that a good price?

? which Topper model is it?

I would think with all the stuff he is throwing in, I would buy it.
Yes the stock will swap with the newer style. I have a topper 148 and it will change with my newer SB1 and SB2

I had a 1972 Topper 158, I tried to put a modern laminated checkered straight grip stock on it, but it wouldn't fit right, the angle was different at the tang.  :-\

I have a 72 or73 model H&R 410 shotgun I put Syn stock and fore arm it fit better
than orginal, and a late model 20ga barrel fit fine. I think good price with all you
are getting.  Good Luck, Waiting on a range report.  Datil

I'd probably do it if the gun is in good shape...just to have something a little different.
