Cannonman,
I have spent a few hours browsing your old postings over the past few days.  You are a wealth of information.  I for one appreciate you.
I don't have an opinion on the Revere gun but I can't wait to hear yours.

I don't have an answer but I posted some thoughts on some unusual features of those guns, here:

This Swivel looks to be purpose built for the lock, the touch hole is through the rear of the breech and not on top of the barrel

The two Aussie guns are vented on top the milled area looks more to be for sighting.

Some observations on the rear mounted flint lock on the swivel:

The short tiller places the hand directly below the pan,  when fired burning powder and the flash from the touch hole

would more than likely burn the gunners hand and wrist. I doubt that many would take up the challenge of  shooting

it many times. It would be interesting to find reports on it's use was this a prototype? or is there evidence of production
Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!

As in the other post it bears the figure in the Mass. coat of arms so there may be at least a connection to the American Revolution

Perhaps in some archive there may be some contracts for cannon being cast for the colony or state.
