Ought to work, saw where a guy shot deer with a 45acp encore pistol loaded hot. I'd just put a low power scope on it so his old eyes could see where he was shooting, I know I would need it! or better yet maybe a laser!  ;)

Should work ok, but I would be a bit concerned about penetration with the hollow-points, AND the soft lead. If it were me, I think I'd prefer a flat nose ( swc or LBT ), loaded for the same fps, so as to get complete penetration. Might depend on what size deer you are after ( Tx. whitetail, 100 lbs, / northern whitetail, mulie, 250 lbs ).

Those velocities work just fine out of a handgun so there is no reason they wouldn't work out of a rifle. I'm not sure that the recoil will be less than a 30-30 with 150's though, or a 30-30 cast bullet load. A hot loaded .357, or something like a .243 would work too.

Sounds like my CAS/SASS Side-match load I shoot in my 92 Rossi/44 20" carbine. I use this for banging steel at 75-100 yards for the 10 shot timed event off-hand standing.

No need for the GC at this velocity.
I use a 240 gr. 44 SWC, 6 grains of Unique, Velocity 1000 FPS, extreme spread for 5 shots 17 fps, and a SD of 6. I use 44 mag Remington cases.

This load is a tack-driver out of my Handi/44, and very little recoil

I to like gas checked lead bullets but not HP's. I have a bunch of old loads of 23gr of 2400 behind some 240 swc sp and the recoil is very mild and accuracy is very good with under 1 1/4" at hundred if i can do my part. I do have a burris 3x9 mini for a scope on my h&r. Only killed onr deer with it but I did recoverd a well splattered bullet on the oppisite shoulder after break'n the near side first.

Elmer Keith took quite a bit of game with 250 gr LSWC at 1000-1200 fps.....I would stay with this bullet configuration over a hollow point though....

I have shot two with my Marlin Camp carbine!! I used Remington Golden Saber 230Gr +P loads @ less than 40yards. Ready for this, BOTH where bang flops!!! Hi shoulder shot on the first and a neck shot on the second. BOTH thru and thru penetration!!! (Both where small 100lb does)
