Some Tough Artillery Field Exercises

Man! These gents had to sacrifice some blood, sweat, and tears, in order to be able to move that ordnance across the field so quickly, and with such precision.
We've had this topic on the board before, but I never get tired of viewing these clips. You can see other years competitions in related vids at the bottom of the screen.

RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

I picked the right word to use in the title of this thread: Tough! This is a clip of one of the Royal Navy teams making practice runs in preparation for the competition, and in one of the other YouTube vids showing another years competition, the reporter says that one of the team captains had to miss the finals, because of a broken leg he suffered when one of the over 900 lb barrels came down on him in a practice session.
