Remington speedmaster?

I have a chance to buy  a new looking Remington Speedmaster Delux for 200.00. Is this a good gun, accurate and reliable? 8)  (I hate a jam-a-matic). I have always been a 10-22 fan but this gun caught my eye. Any info would be appreciated.

If I remember correct the Speedmaster is one of few semi auto rifles that will shoot short, long, and long rifle ammo. It will state it on the barrel. Dave

I started my shooting with a 552 speedmaster that my dad had bought, I shot it for 35 years before I begin to have problems with ejection. I must have shot 1000 bricks of 22 through it (all kinds) I finally sold it but wish I had it back. Keep it clean and oiled and it will always do you right.

I have/had 2-----first one was 93 or 94 production and was a sorry POS---buh bye. Purchased NIB.

Number 2 was bought earlier this year---bought it NIB at a little gun/boat shop in Podunkville out in the sticks---its 89 or 90 production year. This has been a great gun so far----it also has the dull finished matte stock---no monte carlo-----a BDL model as well. Love this one----its a keeper.

So take your pick----I've had good and bad.
