what is it? a guy is wanting to trade me it for some BDU's and webbing gear

edit: well, seems its a belgian 8mm revolver pre 1899

I think it actually shoots the 5.5 Velo Dog round.  Kind of like a 22 Hornet short.
Could be wrong but looks like a neat little revolver.
I will do some research into when I get home and see what I can find.

Kwells where did you find info on it? I have one that my grandfather brought home from WWII he said he got it off a dead german? thanks for any info you have

It appears to be a Belgian Velo-Dog.
They were made in several calibers
with the 5.5 mm being most prevalent

Some also worked with 32 acp. This one is missing it's ramrod, safety lever and the grip screw if from ACO, I think.
