whats your favorite 45lc handload recipes

i have 3
250gr lrnfp 20gr imr-4227 @1110fps 1.2-1.4" @50yrds
300gr lrnfp 18gr imr-4227 @974 fps 1.1-1.5"

250gr nosler sjhp 25.2gr imr-4227 @1520fps .80-1.2"

all have mild to medium recoil, with signs of unspent powder on the high end.
the price you pay for accuracy  

also tried some 700x and lil'gun but not too accurate.

tried others but, no good results

started with cci standard primers..... but ended up using cci magnum

total fires, over 150 tests with delayed shots

i was shooting from a new   hx cr-45lc with 4X pro-diamond
 with my break-in procedures
also using a lead-sled II

found that fresh bore-snaked barrel performed better than dirty... go figger !!!

whats some of yalls recipes and results ??

I like 20.0gr LilGun under a 310 gr SWC.  Not max, but sure lets ya know ya done somethin when you touch it off.  DP

My favorite so far is a 250 grain XTP over 9.8 grains of Unique w/CCI 300 primer. 1.0" @ 50 yards with factory iron sights. I don't have a chrony but guessing it is in the neighborhood of 1100-1200 fps. Very mild recoil and report. I have some IMR-4227 and 2400 but I haven't had the chance to load any up yet. I also have some 250 grain LRNFP bullets but I get lots of leading with those if I push them above standard .45 Colt pressure levels. They work great for light plinking loads, though.

Here's my 75yrd deer Thumper load 21gr Lilgun under a 360gr Lazer Cast 1.7 OAL right at 1500fps and very close to max pressure be careful. Kurt

I loaded up several boxes of 300 grain hard cast flat points over a healthy dose of 2400, because I found that particular load to be the most accurate out of a Ruger Blackhawk. It will shoot thru both shoulders of a whitetail. The stupid part of that story is that I traded the gun and all the cartridges to my brother. He never shot it. Two years later I got it all back, but have forgotten how much 2400 I used.  I have so many rounds of that ammo I haven't bothered pulling a bullet to weigh the powder.  I reckon I will if I get close to running out. 

My point is, 2400 under heavy bullets is a good combination in 45LC.  My Ruger is 4/58 inch gives me a consistent group under 1.5 inches at 25 yards from the bench.  I imagine that load in a rifle would be terrific.
