Fine looking Marlin you have there.

I got a CZ 452 trainer about 6 months ago or so. I am very pleased with its performance with cheap bulk ammo, but I have only used the Federal that comes in the 550 count...but my gun is scoped (just a cheap Tasco mounted on CZ rings) and I haven't tried shooting with much distance either. Yet, at this time at 25 yards I can put them into a hole into one ragged hole about the size of my fingernail (~0.4" or so). I'm pleased...as it makes for cheap shooting allowing my daughter to get in some much needed practice...to learn how to use a scope...so she can be all the better with her 243 during deer season.

My CZ is a "Special"..like a Lux and has checkering  but stock is "Hardwood". Below, a photo of my grandson's 880SQ..it has a synthetic stock which I "camoed" with Krylon.
Your 880SQ has some nice wood on it...

Hey ice; got a brick of Winchester Subsonics today at Ft.Smith, ARK  gun show.  $40 cash.  Saw some RWS Subsonics for $85 per brick.  Too steep for me.   I'll try those Win's out if the weather is ok next week.

Monday, 11~23~09
Shot 100 rounds of those Win Subs today, and I can say they'll do just fine.  The gun was previously sighted in with the RWS Subs.  Here's how the Winchesters did.......

Didn't shoot from a bench today, sat on the ground using a sling.  20/30/40/ and 55 yards.  Before adjustments, bullets hit targets 4 clicks left at 40 yds.  In the long barreled Brno they were very slow. They made a definite (Bang, Thump) at 40 yds.  At 55 yards I expected the bullets to rise a little, but they gave similar results as at 40 yds. :D

FourBee, when you get a chance to test those Win Subs @ 50 with a good rest, post some groups for us.
I`m going to try them next trip to the range.
It is very cold and windy where I live lately. When the weather is like this, I don`t bother.
I like to test for accuracy when I can hold still and little or no wind.

Tickled pink with my CZ and the cheap bulk Federal ammo (which I have plenty of).

The other day I was shooting at 50 yards. 5 round clip. All 5 touching. Shooting off a non-attached teliscopic bipod. My gun is scoped..and with a cheap scope. Shooting like this...if my scope doesn't stay true, I will have no hesitation putting the money into a good scope given the groups I am getting with this gun.

Wish I could find some of that Winchester subsonics locally..I like the looks of those deep & wide hollow points.

Here is a CZ-452 that I bought used, he modified the stock and did one fantastic job of it, he claims he has won numerous matches with  Wolf ammo. Haven't shot it yet but have a variety of 22 ammo, Win T-22 target, 3 tousand rounds. Have cci mini mags a load of it also alot of various bulk ammo that I have had for years, I used it to shoot in my model 17 and it still shoots VG. Can't wait for the weather to clear and get warmer. lou

I believe that. Try the Wolf Match Target, SK Match, Remington subsonic, or any 1030-1080 fps ammo of good quality. Give the rifle time to foul. My CZ loves shoots best after 20 rounds.
