Very interesting Sir, thanks again.  It seems this document is publicly-accessible, in which case I'll make it available to the Company of Military Historian via their Yahoo group, as there's a file upload place on that site.

I couldn't help but notice in the References section, about the 4th through 6th items down, some of the "usual suspects!"

Keep up the good work, Bob, and thanks again for sharing the "latest and greatest" with us.

Please share it with as many people as you think would be interested- it seems to me that is the beauty of the internet- putting information on, and making it freely available.

Looks like when I am in NC next week I will have to go the Baufort museum and take a look.
I have been there a few time and they have some of the Queen Anne's Revenge there.  Also a neat little town.
Hope thye are open on Sundays.  (No hunting on Sundays in NC)
I will see if I can get some pics and post them.

Thanks for the post, Bob; an interesting article.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

Thanks for these also, Bob; I have bookmarked Ruth's piece on swivel gun breechblocks.
