First Buck
« on: October 04, 2003, 08:41:48 AM »
Archery deer season started here in Michigan on October first. The first day that i was able to go hunting was on the third. I got into my stand at about 6:30 am. I saw three deer(1buck 2 does) at the first light. At about 7:45 am i took the shot. About 35 minutes later i found the 6 point buck. That was the biggest buck i have ever bagged with my bow.

So i was wondering if anyone else has had any luck yet?

Good Job! One of these days if you hunt right and put your time in, you may get a shot at a trophy, but you can't eat the horns anyway!

Way to go.  Taking any deer with a bow and arrow is quite an accomplishment.  Good going.   :-)

Thanks guys and goodluck. Remember if you study the area your hunting you have a better chance of spotting and tracking a deer.
