My New HUnting Knife
« on: January 16, 2010, 04:36:42 PM »
I received this from a friend of mine as a late Christmas present; we have never exchanged presents before he just showed up at the house with it. He makes his own knives out of deer antlers and uses damascus steel for the blade. He has made several knives for other people I know and I have never asked for one from him but he showed up on my door step and said Merry Christmas!

I can't wait to get my first game animal gutted with this blade.

My pic foo is weak but you get the idea.

He also makes the sheaths himself.

The hilt is also hand formed from brass.

Just had to share. Besides the hand made ornaments that the girls gave for Christmas, this is probably the best one this year.

That's really a distinctive treatment of the handle and the guard...nice.

I'd keep him on my friends list if I were you. Very nice knife, looks like he certainly knows what he's doing. Thanks for sharing.
