Do all the barrels really need to be factory fitted? Of yes, then why are there so many for sale, separately on this site? I have swapped a few of mine around and they seem to fit beautifully. Any input??

See the sticky on fitting barrels, if you want an accessory barrel from H&R, yes, they won't sell barrels separately.

Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you dont, I got a 45-70 barrel of this sight that fits my recever nice and then I got one fited from the fact. that was more slopy than any barrel that I bought from here.
